There is LGBTQ+ representation within the book. I definitely want to know more about them though as we go forward as feel that they all have a story to tell and would bring something extra. I liked each of the characters and found that they had their own little bit of spotlight in the book. There is a disgraced aristocrat who is hiding for his own sake, a soldier and the one they find in the depths of the prison. The book is about a mission to save one person and along the way they find out their strengths and weaknesses as well as who to trust.Ĭamille is leading the band of misfits along with Ada. It is made up of outcasts from the French Revolution, they are trying to save those that are meant for the Guillotine. The characters or the Battalion des Morts they chest death. I laughed, gasped and couldn’t wait to find out more about the characters and what them do what they did. I mean when I read the first couple of chapters I was hooked. The book opened on a prison escape with the characters trying to save a prisoner from the depths of the most notorious prison. This book definitely started with a bang, or should I say explosion? It was fast paced from start to finish.

I mean who wouldn’t with the blurb saying that the book is set in Paris during the French Revolution. I was so excited when I was asked to be part of the tour for Kat Dunn’s Dangerous Remedy.
